First I was a little concerned about how I was going to incorporate this speech with my blog. Then I started to think about how certain subjects the President spoke about.
First in President Obama's speech to the congress and America, he spoke about the 3.5 million jobs that are going to be helped. This will hopefully encourage people to take care of themselves and look for better jobs and prepare for those jobs that may become a huge portion of their future.
He also spoke about recovering the falling economy. The economy has a lot to do with people's well being and the amount of energy boosters that are available for them. He hopes that legislatures will approve bills regarding the economic future.
He said that China has launched the largest road to renewable energy and that America needs to lead once more and keep our lead within these borders. He said we need to make renewable energy worth a cost. With an increase in a renewable energy and a healthier environment, people should experience more energy and the need to keep this living space in the best condition possible. This is necessary for the future of our Country.

Sugar booster?
Yes who doesn't love those sweet tasting foods that make our taste buds want more....
Well sugar is definitely one of those foods that everyone turns to when we need a little energy, feel like indulging, adding a little some some to something, and just to fill that sweet tooth craving. A huge mistake people make is turning to the wrong type of sugar. Yes I know that I can crave anything with extra sugar but what harm am I causing myself? An intake of too much sugar will give you that small little energy boost yet after leaving you drained... what you want more??? Having too much sugar gives a small amount of energy yet leaves you addicted and always craving more. The downfall to this small booster is that it actually causes you to be drained. So a challenge to you is stop going after all of those tempting treats in venting machines or all the mini snack stores on your way to class. For a different approach try packing your own snack to keep your blood sugar leveled and lessening the chance of losing energy. Natural fruits have plenty of good sugar in them. So add the apple and leave the bag of "Ho Ho's" in the machine.
So excess sugar Good or Bad?
I think BAD.... Will vending machines lose some money... Let's hope, save a dollar!

Drink Some Green Tea

One key energy booster that a lot of people these days depend on is CAFFEINE. Most people especially students turn to coffee because Starbucks is conveniently everywhere. Now when you wake up in the morning and start to head for the coffee machine or the nearest coffee house, stop and think Green Tea. According to WebMD, "People who drink two cups or more a day, have less heart disease and stroke, lower total and LDL (often called "bad") cholesterol, and that they recover from heart attacks faster." Not only is green and also black tea beneficial to your health but these steps help your body get the energy necessary for the day. Green tea also has antioxidants that helps our bodies in defense from oxidation. In everyday terms, green tea helps to prevent disease causing chains. Since green tea has become so popular our convenient coffee house now has a whole menu for TEA. So if you need a little boost in the morning, mid-day, or even at night, make a trip to Starbucks. Buy the green tea of course and not the coffee. Doctors suggest people should drink multiple cups of green tea a day but if you just start adding a cup a day now I'm sure you will start to feel more energized. For another positive on green tea, there are zero calories!!!
Green Tea Good or Bad. . . I think Good...
will more people drink green tea?. . . Starbucks . . . enough said.

Amino Acids

DO you ever walk out of the gym and feel your blood is rushing through your veins? What is really happening is your body is producing the amino acid arginine. As your body produces this amino acid it is released into your lymphatic system to use a vasodilator for your blood vessels. This means that the blood vessels are enlarged to carry more oxygen. The production of more oxidated blood causes the body to maintain a higher blood flow that speeds up metabolisms, burning more calories, thus producing ENERGY!
Here is the energy booster for the day. Visit the gym or at home do some form of exercise. Yes everyone or at least most people struggle with getting the right of exercise. There is always work, school, studying, family, friends, and just other time consuming events that distract us from going to the gym. For others working out may be an embarrassing experience or just something we try to avoid because we feel we are not good at it or do not want to be judged. The way obesity is going in America, we cannot afford to avoid or be distracted from our ENERGY booster. Even though this seems like a strenuous activity, our bodies will appreciate it and the body will feel more energized and ready for longer days. Yes I count in many categories for avoiding and at times allowing a busy schedule to keep me from working out. If there is a gym located on your campus make use of the resource. I mean what could hurt? You sweat a little, get a little tired but feel much better afterward. Simple games of racquetball, volleyball, basketball or any other form of sports can also fill this energy boosting gap. Give your body the opportunity to feel better and yourself the opportunity to feel energized.
In conclusion Exercise good or bad?....
GOOD.... will people continuously exercise?... maybe not... but hopefully someday!

Breakfast boosting energy
How many of us forget to eat a big breakfast, healthy breakfast, or any breakfast? How many of us forgot to eat any breakfast or lunch today because we just didn't have time?
Everyday I seemed to hit a slump around the afternoon hours and felt even more sleepy after eating in the evening. The routine was skip breakfast, vending machine for lunch, eat a huge dinner and fall asleep. Little by little I started to notice that this pattern was the continuous reason why i felt sleepy and started to gain weight. Here is the starting day "energy booster", wake up a little earlier and make yourself at least something simple for breakfast. After feeling tried everyday I knew changing this habit would help and it did. Eating at least a bowl of cereal has the biggest impact for those who eat nothing at all. When you start off your day with breakfast your metabolism gets a head start and by the time dinner comes around it is in full gear. If you don't believe me, challenge yourself to wake up 7 minutes earlier and EAT something. Staring the engine for your body in the morning helps to keep you running all day because your body uses energy from the food to give you the energy you need to complete your day. Changing this horrible habit may just be the kick in the morning you have been looking for.
In conclusion eating breakfast good or bad?
... GOOD... will people start eating breakfast?... let's hope.

Oh those sweet Energy Drinks

According to a WebMD doctor, energy drinks contain as much caffeine found in 14 cans of soda. On the opposition, still according to WebMD, spokespeople say the mainstream energy drinks contain just as much caffeine found in a 8oz cup of coffee.
Since energy drinks are considered to be a dietary supplement they are not required to actually label the precise amount of caffeine in each can. As we all know, combinations of sugar and caffeine with excessive use over large periods of time can severely harm our bodies. Does the target age range, high school and college students, really take the nutritional information or lack there of into consideration? As college students, it is our duty to be more knowledgeable about anything that goes into our body. All the time when I see people drinking those very tasty "energy boosters", I always tell them you better not drink to many! And what is the same answer I hear? "Well, I know they are bad for me but I don't drink them all the time". Just because you do not drink them everyday does not mean the substances inside stop accumulating or mixing with other unhealthy food items. People never realize that there is not just one set of finals, or one test, or one group project, or one drunken night, or one event that requires zero sleep! I realized that energy drinks are becoming excessive to all individuals who have poor time management and push all assignments or activities to the end, resulting in drinking the caffeine "energy booster". Yes, those sweet drinks complete the job of maintaining longer hours in the night/morning and make you feel more awake. If you think about, there is no way to cheat the system without sparing something else. Some just don't care that they gain a few hours of awake time yet harm the inside, that may just cut off years.
So in conclusion energy drinks good or bad?
I think BAD... yet will people stop drinking them?... I think not...
